Rabiul Husain is one of the famous poets of Bangladesh. He is the former president of the National Poetry Council. He is currently serving as a trustee of the Liberation War Museum. He is working as a director and chief architect of the architectural and engineering firm “Shahidullah and Associates Limited”, which was established after independence. Rabiul Hussain is one of the designers of many renowned educational institutions in this country. Numerous educational institutions, museums, training institutes, most of the establishments of Jahangirnagar University, farmhouses are among his works.

He is known as an architect, but he is also known as a skilled organizer. The people of this country proudly remember his contribution as a brave fighter in the Liberation War of Bangladesh.

Mobassher Hossain was born in Dhaka. He grew up in Bogra. He passed his matriculation from Bogra District School in 1962 and moved to Dhaka. In 1964, he passed his HSC with distinction from Dhaka College and enrolled in B.Sc. at Dhaka University. He graduated from BUET in 1972 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Then he joined the government service with a salary of only 350 taka. However, after a month, he resigned from the government service and dedicated himself to architectural activities. His notable works include the RDRS Complex, Residential Building Mirpur, Cyclone Center of Nijhum Island, Proshika Bhaban, Office of the Public Assistance Organization, Head Office of Grameen Bank and many other impressive public institutions.
